Olibanum (Frankincense)


Origin: it is an oleo-gum-resin obtained by incision from the bark of Boswellia caterii and other species of Boswellia
                        F:Burseraceae


          
Active constituents:
1.   35% gum.
2
.   60% resin.
3.   55% volatile oil.
Uses:
1.   Cough.
2.   Gastric disorder.
3.   Bitter stomachic.
4.   Antiseptic.
5.   Anti-inflammatory activity.
6.   Anticancer.
7.   Insect repellent.
